It’s clean and a little bit extraordinary: the city, the photography and the sideways layout.
To a large extent, the latter was driven by how beautiful Dan Benson’s landscape photos were; they were all shouting to be as big as possible and full frame. With a 0° layout, they’d either need to be chopped across the spine with a less-tidy layout and some photos being small, or everything 7cm narrower with far too much space around to do something (or nothing) with.
90° solved that.
Long captions and thumbnail insets round out the trip story.
